Ups and Downs of 2010

2010 was a year that I will remember for the rest of my life. Not only did I learn a lot..its also the year I made the most life-changing decisions. I will review the year month by month starting with...

January 2010
Good:
-Soccer Jerseys were customized and both soccer teams were returning from a month long break.
-Enjoyed using my aunties skidoo around Town.
-Started work for the Recreation Department.
-Arctic Winter Games regional tryouts held in Fort Simpson. 8 soccer players tried out, 7 made the regional team.
-Selected as a coach for team Mackenzie JR boys soccer team
-Artcic Winter Games Territorial Trials held in Yellowknife. Fun was had by all

BAD:
-not making team NWT for Dene Games
-being very sick, almost never went to YK.
-the AWG Controversy

February:
Good:
-Buying a new cellphone
-Buying a new laptop
-Buying a new XBOX360

Bad:
-cold weather
-Injuries force 3 soccer players off the team.

March:
GOOD:
-The Grande Prairie Trip where we manage to miss our bus.
-Grande Prairie Soccer tournament added to tournaments attending
-Early Spring weather in FTL

BAD:
-I broke someones heart in Grande Prairie
-Several soccer players couldn't make it to the Simpson tourney.


April:
Good:
-Connie Loutit Memorial Tournament in Fort Simpson
-4.11.10 <4
-Spring breakup in Liard

BAD:
-Losing in the semi-finals to missed call by Ref at tourney
-Flood of 2010

May:
Good:
-Grande Prairie Soccer Tournament
-Getting a new Tattoo
-Accepted for College

BAD:
-Grande Prairie Soccer Tournament
-getting fired from Hamlet.
-Losing internet

June:
Good:
-Dehcho Assembly in Hay River
-Moving from Fort Liard

BAD:
-Not moving to Smith
-Getting Stuck in Hay River

July
Good:
-getting a job in Hay River
-spending the summer in a new town
-Winning $300 at poker

Bad:
-Being Hospitalized due to throat infection
-Not going to Fort Smith
-Finding out where Girlfriend is staying

August
Good:
-Hot Tub Party
-Beach Party
-Going back to Liard
-UFC 117

Bad:
-Withdrawl from College for a stupid reason
-Leaving job 2 weeks early
-Stuck in Liard

September
Good:
-Moving to Whitehorse
-Great Future expected
-Leaving Fort Liard

Bad:
-Hard to find full time work
-Relationship troubles
-Sometimes tough choices are the best ones.

October:
Good:
-Working for BYTE
-Getting back into shape
-Working for Stantec
-Getting NEW cellphone
-Getting Internet

Bad:
-Leaving Whitehorse due to no work found
-10.04.10 -Relationship ended
-Stuck in Camp for halloween

November:
Good:
-Joined the mens soccer team as a player and not as a coach
-enjoyed the time to reflect
-visited my brother in ft st John
-winning guitar hero tournament

Bad:
-Getting banned from Youth Center
-no set plans for New years celebrations
-Getting Injured..no soccer for 10 days

December:
Good:
-Poker tournament ($350 top prize)
-getting my pocket emulator
-receiving my H2S certification
-New Years Eve

Bad:
-Being DJ for New Years Dance
-Miserable holidays


Overall I will look back at this year as a learning experience for me. I will go forward in 2011 with an end goal and on December 31, I will say that I reached that goal.
I met a lot of great people and I received a lot of great praise as well as Criticism. The best comment I got was that I looked like THE ROCK Dwayne Johnson.
