As 2011 gets underway, for the first time in my life, I have nowhere to go or no immediate plans for work. I was supposed to go to work for the Lands Department for the Local Band but it has been postponed until March. The ADK Band want me to go to college for Power Engineering but I don't meet some of the entrance requirements.
I applied for work in several places and have yet to receive a response. I can go to work in Hay River but I need a ride there and I have no money at the moment. There is a job opening in Fort Smith, but I need to find my own place there as well as get a ride there.
I would like to return to Whitehorse to work, but I need to find a full time job. I want to work anywhere but I just don't want ANY job at the moment. I want to do something that I enjoy.
There are several things I want to accomplish this year, getting my passport is one of them, I will also retire from competitive soccer at the end of the season.
I have long term goals to travel to Las Vegas and Ibiza one day. But I need to take care of other things in order for me to reach my goals.
This not working is really getting to me, its frustrating going to sleep each night with a sense of failure and I am not one step closer to any of my goals.
I know people say the light is brighter at the end of the tunnel but I've been stuck in the tunnel for too long. They tell me to not give up but I try to keep my head up and every day is the same thing. Giving up seems like a better option at this point.
Whenever I ask people for advice, they always say stuff to cheer me up. They don't offer me solutions for if they know of any jobs I'd be interested in. I don't Fucken need sympathy or "gee" "sucks" "shitty" or "ooh".
If your not helping me with a solution, then you are part of the problem and Fuck you.

Whitehorse
I am writing this on my last night in Whitehorse. I came here to compete in a Hand Games tournament. I left Fort Liard on Friday November 27 and left Fort Nelson the next day. The bus left at 3:00PM and arrived in Whitehorse at 3:00AM. During the long bus ride, I knew I had to keep myself occupied and not worry about the cold bus. I purchased 2 Mixed Martial Arts magazines to read, it didn't help that much because I was done 15 minutes past the Liard highway. Lucky for me I had my mp3 player for the music keeps me calm. There were not many people traveling on this bus other than myself, there were maybe 3 others. I really wished Ernie came along. Not that I was lonely, it would have been great to have someone to talk to and someone to hang out with. Ernie was all for coming to Whitehorse, he just never got paid from his job in New Brunswick. I was the lucky traveler to get the seat in the back of the bus. I used my winter jacket as a blanket. I slept somehow up to Toad River. While I was getting off the bus, the driver asked me if I was comfortable. I told him that I never sleep on bus rides but I fell asleep quickly on this one. During a 30 minute break where I had a club house sandwich for dinner, I decided to check if they had any internet service. I managed to update my facebook status as well as check the scores for NHL. At 6:30, we left Toad River and continued onward. I just relaxed and listened to my music. I wanted to watch a movie with my laptop but I decided to wait for a while longer. After what seemed like an eternity, we arrived in Watson Lake. Now I have only been this way one time and I did not recognize it. I turned my cellphone on to see if there was any chance I would get a signal. As I was updating my facebook status, I saw a sign with Watson Lake on it. I thought it was at least another 3 hours but my friend Michael commented that it was 5 hours. "for f*&$%" was the thought in my head. I couldn't sleep due to the fact that I drank an AMPd energy drink. I decided to finally watch a movie. I grabbed my laptop and plugged my external hard drive and watched 4 episodes of South Park. After I looked at the time I realized that only an hour and a half has passed. I just sat there and looked out the window while listening to music. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, I arrived in Whitehorse. I phoned Mike and he picked me up as I was staying at his place for the week. During the first few days, I was bored and I at least got to work out at the Canada Games Center..I mean the Subway Canada Games Center. During my time here in Whitehorse I learned a few things: you can make popcorn with a paper bag, some people store batteries in their fridge, Montreal alouettes CAN and will make you think you can beat them, Whitehorse weather is a cold -5. Good things that came out of this trip: I got a tattoo, got my jerseys customized, scored some goalie gloves for my goalie, got outta Liard for a while. Things I dodn't get done: Play handgames, have a shot of Rum with Fawn, go to the hot springs, and buy some winter hikers.
Now tomorrow at 2PM, I will be on my way back to Fort Nelson and hopefully I will be back in FTL Sunday. I did not do everything I wanted to do but there is ALWAYS NEXT TIME. Next time I will be writing another one of these blogs.
